Morley Webb participated in the Organic Design for Home Furnishing contest, organized by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. This contest for the first time included Latin American designers in its call. Teaming up with Michael van Beuren and Klaus Grabe and it was then that the chaise loungue that Michael had christened as Alacrán won the 1941 award.
