25 fev 1811 ano - Failure to Re-Charter the First Bank - 1811
Descrição:
The first bank of the United States had originally been chartered in 1791 after the United States gained their independence. Twenty years later, the bill was not re-chartered because of the split vote in the House of Representatives between the Democratic-Republicans and the Federalists. This has an influence on both politics and power because it represents the close and heated political divide among the two largest parties in the early 19th century, as well as being one of the leading causes of the war of 1812 with Britain.
