Also known as the Great Sioux Nation, or Lakota, the Great Sioux Territory was established in the dying days of the War between the states. Designed to function similarly to the Indian Territory [Or Sequoya] further south, the Great Sioux Territory existed as a semi-independent native american homeland in America that was often seen from the outside as a protectorate.
