Simon-2 gets into the Pilot Seat at Omicron. Catherine copies his brain scan into the empty cortex chip inserted in Raleigh Herber’s headless body, still sealed in her power suit. Simon-3 “wakes up” in the power suit and realizes that there are “two Simons.” He must decide whether to kill Simon-2 or not.

Simon-3 descends in the Climber, with Ross following him. He survives the descent and begins the journey to Tau.
