Alan Waldeck remotely retrieves the Climber, expecting it to contain the ARK team. (Dates are inconsistent between title and text of ACR log; could be 12/28.) But according to the Climber computer, it came up empty. It’s unclear whether the Climber was truly empty, or whether Ross was on it. Alan’s ultimate fate is unknown.
