and as of now, reality seems to be stable. but when this happens, a couple results appear. The first is that the universe keeps going, but without stars, planets, atoms, energy, just a black hole that will eventually die of hawking radiation. the second is if the blackhole is too massive to die. heck, if the universe is infinite, then the blackhole won't ever be 'the' blackhole. the third is where the blackhole(s) explode somehow and start another universe. the fourth, and worst of all, is if the universe dies and never comes back. whatever happens, all of this history is gone. whatever happens now is to far away in time to matter to us at all.
