Open call for Poetry, Prose, and Visual Art : how language fails us.

The theme of Language and its ability to fail us in our everyday can be composed/responded to in a manner of ways. This call out is for Poetry, Prose, and Visual Arts; in this, Digital Art and Photography is also considered.

While many people associate this concept of Language with that of the spoken or written word, consider that we communicate in a myriad of ways. For reference you may contemplate reading Roland Barthes, Raymond Williams, or Jaques Derrida.

You may think about using text as a means for miscommunicating, to communicate nothing at all, or paint to express that which is so hard to in words.

This opportunity is available to artists globally, although it is advised that you consider both scale and media if you are submitting from outside the UK (artists cover shipping costs).

Please do not exceed 2m x 2m per piece.
