UN forces push further and further north, eventually reaching the Chinese border at Yalu. General MacArthur and President Truman did not predict that China would come to North Korea's aid, so the UN forces are caught by surprise, outnumbered, and dealt huge losses. With China's massive land forces, Truman backs down and announces a limited war effort.
