At Lexington and Concord was the first place that the first battles of the American Revolutionary War took place. The reason why its called "The shot heard around the world" was because an inexperienced army of farmers, shopkeepers, and other normal people was facing the most powerful army at the time that took down countries and it encourages other countries to rebel their government if they couldn't respect their natural rights. The natural rights were by an English Philosopher named John Locke. The three natural rights that he believed in are the right to live, to have freedom, and to own property. If the government couldn't protect these rights, the citizens had the right to change the government, even if it meant force.
