Benjamin Franklin died at the age of 84 due to a condition called pleurisy, which he suffered during his earlier years. Overall, Benjamin Franklin was known for being one of the Founding Fathers of America, as he heavily supported the colonists' movement during the American Revolution and he was also a very successful scientist.
