1 jan 1897 ano - Thomson Model
Descrição:
The Thomson model or the plum pudding model is his vision of the atom, which he represented as negatively charged particles (electrons) within the positively charged atom. This model/breakthrough was important as it contradicted Democritus' idea that an atom was indivisible, as it showed that it could, in fact, be broken down into smaller fragments.
