One impact of European partitioning in Africa was civil war. Civil war in Africa was caused by all the conflicts occurring around Africa. Civil war also broke out because of shortages of natural resources and government instability. One example of civil war in Africa is when Rwanda gained its independence. Civil war broke out between two villages/tribes called the Hutu and Tutsi.
