After Charles I got to much power, the Pope and Francis I was concerned about the imbalance, Charles wanted to prove that he was strong so he attacked Rome. After the attack on Rome, a lot of artists left in search of safety, helping to spread the artistic ideas of the Renaissance. The importance was that the powers of Europe was thrown off and became imbalanced
