The sons of liberty was a secret organization in the 13 colonies so they can fix taxation against the British government. The founders were Sam Adams and John Hancock but the name " Sons of Liberty'' was removed from a 1765 debate in the parliament over the stamp act. The sons of liberty used violence like tar and feathering, and gun powder to tax collectors as protest.
