During a school trip a demon appeared and terrorised the class. After the teacher fell, Maddox went to safe her. At first he used defense magic that didn't last very long but after it was destroyed he used pressure magic. He defeated the demon and saved the teacher. However after looking at her, and her congratulating him she got stabbed by the claw of another, bigger, demon. With no magic left and no way to defend himself, the demon ripped Maddox's right arm off.
