The Chinese Exclusion Act made it so that the Chinese could not immigrate to the U.S at all for 10 years. This Act was renewed after the 10 years for another 10 years and after that was made permanent until 1943. This made it impossible for the Chinese to immigrate into the United States but did not affect anyone else.
