They finally arrive at this town in the mountains, which is surprisingly in good condition as it was never attacked in the nation wide war, being in such a remote area. When they tell the people of the town they're going into the Bottomless Pit, they show nothing but fear.
"...P-please...don't..."

"M-my daughter....has been lost in that cave for 10 years. Nobody who goes near that cave goes out. Whatever's in there steals all the women in this town, for God knows what."
They're all shocked, and pissed. Menzu the most. But he puts on a smile.
"Don't worry. I'll. No. We'll get every single one of them back for sure. Even if it kills us."
'How can you be so sure?"
"Sir... p-please get my big sister back... please sir" (crying)
Menzu hands this little boy his necklace, and Jelly. The necklace is too big for him, but it looks cute. He goes down on 1 knee to the kids level.
"These 2 things are very important to me. This necklace is a very special one, and if you wear it you get given amazing strength. And this guy is my best friend. He'll make sure to always be by your side. Look after them for me, okay?" He wipes the tears off the kids face.
