The airshow accident in Ukraine, also known as the Sknyliv air show disaster occurred on this day. A Ukrainian Air Force Sukhoi Su-27 place was crashed during an aerobatics presentation at Sknyliv airfield. The plane was piloted by Yuriy Yegorov. This accident killed 77 people and injured 543. Out of the injured people, 100 of them were hospitalized. As of 2002, this is the most deadliest air show accident in history.
