Drake kicked off his career on the Canadian teen drama series Degrassi: The next generation. The show was about the interesting lives of Degrassi high school students. Drake played the character Jimmy Brooks, also know as "wheelchair Jimmy". On the show, Brooks is a basketball star who becomes physically disabled after he gets shot by a classmate.
