Cabbage Patch Kids dolls were one of the most popular toy fads in the 80s. Cabbage Patch Kids were popular because they were advertised as dolls you adopted, instead of bought. Whenever a doll was purchased, it was an "adoption fee" rather than a sale. This factor is what made the toy become so popular, and left children to feel good about adopting a doll.

Cabbage Patch Kids were enjoyed by little girls between the ages 3-7.
