For hundreds of years, women in Saudi Arabia have not been given the same rights as men. On September 26 of 2017 it was declared at a UN meeting that women would finally be able to drive in Saudi Arabia and the law was put in action on June 24th in 2018. This was a major step in giving women more rights in Saudi Arabia.
