The 1970 NHL Draft was held at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal, Canada. Sittler was taken 8th overall by the Leafs, and holds the NHL single game point record (10). He accumulated 916 points as a Maple Leaf, making him the 2nd leading point scorer in franchise history
