O thinks up the scheme to get the audition. He decides that he can make up a mystical story about it, and find an auditor who is fanciful enough to believe it. Luckily, one such man is the brother of his former lover's wife.

The story: O was receiving rare, strange wines and goods from a mysterious merchant. The merchant reluctantly gives him a wine that sings to him. O is drawn to find the vines that made this wine, but finds the winemaker's daughter. She was not given a fair chance to audition, and the gods are singing through her handiwork.
