A religious lament was recorded in the cuneiform language on a clay tablet by the Babylonians. The concept of the lament was a broken bond between man and the god Marduk. Was absorbed from the great Sumerian culture that preceded the Babylonians. The Poignant, bitter lament reveals an individual trying to comprehend the absence and silence of the god Marduk, who promises prosperity and joy to those who worship him, despite the individual's adherence to the traditional religious rite.
