The Yalta Conference was the first of the coming post-war summits where the Big 3 of Josef Stalin: USSR, Winston Churchill: UK and Franklin D. Roosevelt: US, discussed several matters at hand. These discussions consisted of topics such as:

- Post War Europe
- The division of Germany into four zones
- The division of Berlin into four zones (four power control)
- The establishment of the 'United Nations'
- Free elections in the countries of Eastern Europe.

The latter of these aims would not be fulfilled, as Stalin would go on to occupy these states, putting them under Communist control.
