He was born October 28, 1937 (age 79)in rochester NY . and is credited with coming up with the idea of using a "universal processor" rather than a variety of custom-designed circuits in the architectural idea and an instruction. Federico Faggin was an Italian physicist, inventor and entrepreneur, widely known for designing the first commercial microprocessor with Marcian in November 1971.He born on December 1,1941 in Vicenza, Italy
