Contribution: James Chadwick repeated experiments done by Frederic and Irene Joliot-Curie but with a different purpose. He was looking for a neutral particle - a neutron. Chadwick’s experiment was successful and publishes his findings of the neutron and later won a Nobel Prize for it in 1935.
