Maximilien Robespierre the architect of the Reign of Terror played a big part in the French Revolution. In earlier years he represented the third estate fighting for human rights for all, and he strongly opposed death penalties for many years. On this day he was brought to the Guillotine and exicuted along with twelve others, including his brother.
