without mental disorder during the fifteen
murders, although two of the twelve jurors
disagreed. Dahmer was sentences to fifteen
counts of life imprisonment plus eighty years.
Capital punishment was outlawed in Wisconsin
in 1853 so the death penalty was not an option.
He was kept in solitary confinement his first year
of prison for his own safety.
