A report by anthropologists who lived and worked with Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory exposes the conditions faced by Aboriginal workers. Despite legislation, Aboriginal children under 12 are working illegally, accommodation and rations are inadequate, there is sexual abuse of Aboriginal women, and prostitution for rations and clothing takes place. No sanitation or rubbish removal facilities are provided, nor is there safe drinking water.
