In 1934, Laurens Hammond invented the Hammond B3 Organ which was an electric organ. A musician named Jimmy Smith popularized the Hammond B3 Organ to be used jazz music. This organ will go on to influence many musicians to utilize the Hammond B3 Organ in multiple genres i.e. reggae, rock, rhythm and blues.
