On September 29, 2008 the stock market crashed. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 777.68 points, this was the biggest loss in trading history. The stock market reported this major loss because the congress rejected the bank bailout bill. This event really threw a wrnech in not only the econemy but also people daliy lifes, people were forced to stay in work instead of retierment.
