This printing device is also called the "stencil duplicator" and. It is a duplicating machine which uses a stencil consisting of a coated fibre sheet in which ink is pressed through. By using a typewriter with the ribbon moved out of the way meaning it doesn't strike it. By doing this the information you wish to print/ copy is instead typed into the stencil, by doing this you are exposing the fibre cloth, allowing ink to be pressed through it, allowing it to be copied.
