The Mother Mosque of America (formerly The Rose Fraternity Lodge and also called Moslem Temple) is the oldest purpose-built mosque in the United States. It was built by immigrants from Syria and Lebanon and was used as a temple for about forty years before eventually becoming a cultural heritage site.
