The Battle of Ypres was faught between the Germans the Canadians and some Africans.it was a big battle because the Germans had brought out a weapon that was gas. The Canadians stayed to fight it but the Africans retreated the Canadians urinated on there handkerchiefs and covered there faces with it to counter the gas.
