A satire making light of the newly elected president, made in Argentina by Quirino Cristiani- the only versions of this movie were lost in a fire.

Here find "Los que Ligan"("Those That Bind") made in 1919, a short commenting on the favoritism of the League of Nations for the different countries.

Argentina was particularly outspoken about the League's need to let in all sovereign nations, as seemed they were only inviting those with close ties to Europe (and capitalism).

Man says "I'm sorry my lady, but this "garter" is too tight!

the word "Liga" translates to League and garter from Spanish, so this is an obvious play on words.
