Uses the Aeneid against Rome (Aeneas saves statues of Gods, showing they are weak, powerless, and that we created them)
Christian God Proved powerful, just look at all the Christian Churches that were saved. So it was really your Gods that f*cked you over.
But, the Visigoths were christian as well (remember they believe in arianism) so they spared churches. To Augustine, they were no christian, but Heretics but that explains why they saved the churches.
Two Cities: City of God and Earthly City. Earthly: city of man and the Selfish love of man. City of God: All people who believe in God (Christians), Heaven is the full realization of the city of God. Very hard to achieve the city of God because you usually do these things out of a calculation. You don’t truly know who is in each city until judgment day.
We Should all live according to God, and let God save us, not try to save ourselves because that is the only way to find true happiness.
