Star-fever burns like never before: everyone,
it seems, wishes to leave Mother Earth for the skies. In an attempt to facilitate this apparent mass exodus, the Terraformer Project begins, for which vast fleets of intelligent robot vessels, the Terraformers, will render the extrasolar planets habitable for humans. The First Fleet, six ships, soon depart from Earth.

Every three years onwards, a new Terraformer fleet will leave Sol.
