The Black Panther Party dissolves in 1982. Many of their original goals in their Ten Point Platform were not reached, but they creating positive impacts of the community of Oakland and nationwide. The Oakland Community School also closes. One main reason for the BPP falling apart was Huey Newton being charged and jailed for embezzlement of school funds.
