After Syrus Nash's discovery of lightspeed travel, The United Federation of Terra began mass producing starships. Since the completion of the Mars Project, world tensions have been at an all time low. Russia, China and Africa, as well as many other leading countries around the world, joined the UFT, and caused what was known as the Cosmic Revolution.

With all world leaders collectively looking up at the stars, the world changed in a substantial way. The Lunar Base had been growing since it is completion 44 years ago. and Mars had been thriving for almost a decade. So the while the GIdeon was the first of her kind, she would not be the last. Designs for deep space vessels and combat rescue ships were being commissioned and moon bases were being constructed throughout the the solar system.
