FDR was elected president and his first big issue to solve was the great depression. FDR saw the impacts of the great depression as a way to spread relief to all the American's suffering. He created the New Deal and created many programs to support and help the American's who needed relief. Compared to president Hoover, FDR was much more involved and was considered a symbol of hope at this point in his presidency. He was much more involved and willing to put in work to supply relief to those struggling.
