The sunday morning of September 15th, 4 girls were killed in the 16th street Baptist church bombing in Alabama. Many inside the church were severely injured, and this event had a major influence on the public, this story was heard nationwide. This church was a meeting place for civil rights leaders, along with a meeting place for African American church attendants, who felt safe at this location.
