On July 25, 1943, dictator Benito Mussolini finally got arrested by the king forces. Italians began celebrating the end of the war. As a result, Hitler attacked the Allies in Italy to gain power and stop them. To Britain and U.S seemed like the effort to free Italy did not succeed until 1945, when Germany itself was close to collapse.
