King Philip the second was assassinated before he could enjoy his spoils of war. His son Alexander jumped at the chance to take his fathers imperial project. The new king led his troops across into Asia. From this he led his armies and conqured huge chunks of western Asia and Egypt, and pressed into the Indus river valley.
