Description: Strategic mass demonstration coordinated by the Moroccan government and military wherein approximately 350,000 Moroccans advanced into the Western Sahara territory. This demonstration was an attempt to force Spain to relinquish control of the disputed territory to Morocco. It resulted in the Madrid Agreements which allowed Morocco to gain control of most of the former Spanish Sahara.
