0 h 28 m, 25 abr 1915 ano - Gallipoli Landings
Descrição:
It was meant to weakened the Ottoman Empire, involving Allied forces (AIF, ANZAC, Australian Brigade 1-4, New Zealand Brigade 1). There were 44-46'000 casualties on the British Empire's side and 87'000 on the Ottoman Empire side. Forcing Turkiye out of the war by capturing what is known as Istandbul and opening the Dardanelles Strait was unsuccessful. Captain Percy H. Cherry landed at Gallipoli with the 26th Battalion in September 1915, serving at Courtney’s and Steele’s Posts and Russell’s Top.
