22 jun 1774 ano - Quebec Act June 22, 1774

Descrição:

The Quebec Act, which passed by the British Parliament on June 22, 1774, along with the four Coercive Acts, was an act intended to afford greater rights to the French inhabitants of Canada. Some of the rights that the act provided included: a new governor and council for Quebec, the official recognizing of the French civil code, and the recognizing of the Roman Catholic Church in Quebec. The act also extended the boundaries of Quebec south to the Ohio River and west to the Mississippi River, which angered colonists in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, whose states were given some part of that land in their charters.
