The most popular and beloved mermaid among the people of Kelerm is Ylva, a narwhal mermaid who frequently brings a great amount of ice from the north into the White Harbour, which is very much appreciated by the Kelermites due to the very hot weather the city often experiences.

Over half the ice in Kelerm’s underground ice reservoirs was brought into the city by Ylva, and the people of the city even made a full set of giant-sized waterproof clothing for her to wear, to protect her from the heat when coming to Kelerm.
