Four pre-teen African American girls were murdered by a bomb placed in the recent site of civil rights rallies, the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. There was a crowd surrounding the church soon where the police came to intervene and settle. One African American boy was shot by a police officer while another was shot by a passing white teenage boy.
