The First Moroccan Crisis (1905–1906) began when Kaiser Wilhelm II visited Tangier on March 31, 1905, to challenge French control over Morocco. This angered France and Britain, increasing tensions with Germany. The crisis ended at theAlgeciras Conference (1906), where most powers sided with France, isolating Germany and separating europe into 2 blocks.
